Day 2 & 3 - Driving out of the cold

DAY 2 & 3:   We spent these 2 days driving as we tried to find warmer weather so that we may set up in the trailer.  Spent the 2nd night in the Best Western in Idaho Falls (minus 12). Not much in Idaho Falls, very nice hotel though as I was able to lean on my Hotel experience as we were able to get $30 off (industry rate), kids eat free at dinner and free breakfast for all!!!!  

We left Idaho Falls early, made our way to Utah.   On our way, we stopped in Salt Lake City and visited the Natural History Museum.  The kids were excited as it was featuring a dinosaur exhibit. Museum was truly unique as it was an old building on the Utah State University grounds.  The University was in a beautiful location of Salt Lake as it had historic bldg’s, & mature trees.  After we left, we were able to purchase our first groceries for the trip.  We then found a little private campground outside of Provo.  This was our first night in the trailer.   Temp. outside was about –2degrees.  We were able to cook up a good meal (helped to warm up the trailer) and everyone slept very well.  I am grateful that we put our own mattress on the bed.   Tomorrow, we are off to Nevada and are looking forward to some warm weather.
